Fancy Dress: Just another W&L tradition

18 Mar

If you’ve been on a campus tour at W&L yet, you know we’re big on traditions–from placing pennies on Traveller’s grave to NOT walking through the main archway at Graham-Lee’s breezeway.

Coming up next weekend (March 27) is the 103rd annual Fancy Dress ball. It’s basically prom for us big kids (because we all need a reason to dress up!). Warner Center and Doremus Gymnasium are totally transformed for a night of dancing, music and fun as a University community. If you’re lucky, maybe you’ll even get a dance with one of your  professors–some of them really know how to move! (Here’s some history on it!)

Last year’s theme was “A Dark Night” and this year’s theme was revealed this week–“Moulin Rouge” SPECTACULAR SPECTACULAR!

It’s my senior FD, so I’m looking to go all out and enjoy one last hurrah before I have to wait for someone to get married to wear a gown again.

Check out the FD blog here.
